STOKESLEY’S HERITAGE PROJECT

WORKSHOP ON MONDAY, 10 DECEMBER 2012

The next Heritage Workshop is on Monday 10 Dec at St Joseph's Church Hall starting at 10 am (9.30 am for those helping to set up the room). You are welcome to come, even if you have little or no experience in this area. It is a good opportunity to explore and learn from our Advisor, Kev Cale, who has helped other groups in the area get established. If you have items, photos or information on the history of Stokesley and the local area please bring them along. World War 1 is of particular interest with the Centenary approaching.

At this Workshop, we plan to

  1. Share plans and progress by the Groups working on
    • The Manor and Development of the Town
    • Logistics: Pannierways, Roads & Railways
    • Installing new Blue Plaques.
  2. Consider any items you bring along as noted above, also any aspects of John Grundy's talk that you would like explore.
  3. Separate into four Groups covering
    • The Manor and Development of the Town
    • Logistics
    • Buildings and people: this will focus on choosing buildings to study and deciding how best to proceed.
    • Other topics and interests

At this Workshop we will be selling packs containing the three Heritage leaflets we have produced at £2 per pack. There is also the opportunity to buy A3 copies of some of the pictures used in the Buildings Leaflet.

Looking forward to seeing you.
